WMSR To Broadcast From SMC In Sept. |

WMSR's proposed move into the Student Memorial Center from the basement of Witmer Infirmary has not yet been initiated.
Don Hudak, station manager of WMSR, explained that meetings with Mr. Donald A. Stollenwerk, director of development, have resulted in approved plans and purchased materials.
The station will change its location during the summer and will begin broadcasting from the SMC basement in September. Designing problems and difficulties in arranging meetings with Mr. Stollenwerk were cited as reasons for the delay in moving.
Money problems have now also been resolved. Student Senate had allocated $6,000 of the radio's $15,000 request but in an appeal to the Senate, WMSR explained this would not be a sufficient amount to cover the expenses of wiring the new dorms. Slightly more than $4,000 has been added to the allocation. Wiring will be done this summer or early fall.
WMSR's financial troubles have also been alleviated through a state supplement to cover the expense of moving.
