WMSR Picks Staff; Workers Still Needed |

New officers for the 1971-72 academic year have been announced by WMSR, the campus radio station. In its fourth year of operation, the station had conducted the elections last spring, but until recently the new officers had not assumed their official duties.
New station manager is Joe Wells, a second semester sophomore majoring in elementary education who attended Abington High School. The business manager is Elaine Karel, a first semester junior, majoring in education media. She attended Liberty High School.
Don Hudak, elected to the position of chief engineer, is majoring in industrial arts. Ed Lauginiger, a first semester senior majoring in secondary education biology, was reelected news and sports coordinator. Ed previously attended Chichester High. Elected news director was Karen Kukpehka, a first semester senior majoring in elementary education. She attended Central Bucks High School and transferred from Bucks County Community College.
Stan Tucker, new production manager, is a first semester junior majoring in secondary education history. He comes from Donegal High School. Phil Bogdan, a native of Pittsburgh, was elected publicity chairman. He is a first semester junior majoring in liberal arts political science.
George Carmichael, a first semester senior majoring in secondary education social studies, returns as sports director. Elected to the position of chief announcer was Bruce Kerr, who was working as program director due to an unexpected resignation. Bruce living in Horsham, is a first semester junior majoring in secondary education history. Janis Nicodem, a graduate of North Pocono High School, has been elected traffic manager. Janis is a first semester junior majoring in secondary education.
Several positions at WMSR were vacant, but a special election was held during the month of September. Anyone interested in working for the station should give his name and campus address to either Joe Wells or Elaine Karel, or take the information to the station in the basement of the Witmer Infirmary.
