- February 23, 2008 -

Dear Millersville WIXQ and WMSR Radio Alumni,

Ralph "Doc Roc" Anttonen, the current WIXQ-FM faculty advisor, has declared there will be a Millersville University radio reunion in 2008. The date is Saturday April 26, 2008. Believe it or not, four years have passed since our last reunion, and our first reunion was six years ago. Once again, it is time to reconnect with your old college radio buddies, make new friends, and reminisce about the station and all its wacky stories. If you have never attended a station reunion, you are invited to return to Millersville and encouraged to tell your friends about this event.

The current idea is to reserve some time at the station around 3pm for an open-house to gather and check out the current facilities. In the evening, the station has reserved the Millersville VFW so we can enjoy some food and beverages while we reminisce about old times. This is nothing formal, just an evening to relax and have a good time. Doc, current students, and a few alumni are helping to finalize plans for this year's event. For now, the only action required on your part is to MARK YOUR CALENDARS and SPREAD THE WORD. If you would like to help plan the reunion or have something special to offer, such as an embarrassing story, an historic tale, or an interesting piece of memorabilia, please contact Doc. He welcomes all the help he can get.

Please keep an eye on the Millersville College Radio Alumni Website at http://www.wixq.org for updates. We may not have your current postal or email address on file, so please know that even if you do not receive a formal invitation, YOU ARE INVITED if you participated in college radio at Millersville University. If you have a list of WIXQ/WMSR contacts, please share it so we can reach out and get as many people to attend as possible. Even if you have previously registered your contact info with us, please make sure we know how to find you by updating our WIXQ/WMSR Directory.

Please feel free and encouraged to forward this to any WIXQ/WMSR alumni you are in contact with. Every WIXQ / WMSR staff member from the carrier current days through FM and beyond is invited.

We recently inherited a large number of e-mail addresses for this list from the Alumni office. If you would prefer not to receive this mail, or prefer it to go somewhere else, please send a quick message to Erik@wixq.org and the appropriate changes will be immediately made. Apologies in advance to anyone who has incorrect information on file at the Alumni office.

For more information, please check out http://www.wixq.org/ You can also e-mail Erik at Erik@wixq.org or call Ralph "Doc Roc" Anttonen at 717-872-3483.

I hope to see you all on April 26!

Erik
